Rumors say YG Entertainment is presenting not just one, but two girl groups this year.
On June 29, YG unveiled the long-awaited group Black Pink consisting of 4 members – Jennie Kim, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo. Fans are thrilled to finally see YG’s new girl group, however, some portrayed disappointment at the small amount of members as many expected a total of 7 to 9 members.
According to OSEN, the label is planning to present Black Pink’s sister group in the same year! It was reported, “Originally, the group had 9 members, but Yang Hyung Suk changed the number to 4. His exact thoughts are unknown, but there are 5 more trainees left. It seems like Black Pink are setting the start to YG’s new girl groups.”
It’s also assumed that YG is preparing a format similar to iKON and WINNER with their new girl groups. Do you think we might be greeted with 2 YG girl groups this year?
