[YG-LIFE] 171215 BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last” Surpasses 200 Million Views Within the Shortest Amount of Time in K-Pop Group History

BLACKPINK’s music video for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ became the shortest K-Pop group video to surpass 200 million views on YouTube.

The music video for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 200 million views on December 15 5PM, proving BLACKPINK’s popularity. It’s been 175 days since the release of the video, which is 39 days faster than the previous record for K-Pop groups.


Previously, the music video for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ became the fastest music video to surpass 10 million views in K-Pop girl-group history, with its record of 17 hours. The video was also selected as ‘The most loved K-Pop video in the world in 2017’, displaying the group’s global popularity.

BLACKPINK still carries the record of reaching 200 million views in the shortest amount of time with a debut single, and now marked their presence as ‘unbeatable’, having the fastest music video to reach 200 million views, including all K-Pop groups.

BLACKPINK who made debut just about a year ago already has 4 music videos with over 100 million views, including ‘WHISTLE’, ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, and ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’. As a girl-group coming from YG Entertainment in 7 years, they are setting a milestone in K-Pop history.

BLACKPINK is planning to make comeback in the K-Pop scene next year on January, and is also expected to meet the fans through their first-ever exclusive reality program, ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’.
