[YG-LIFE] 180121 ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ Surpasses 20 Million Accumulated Views, A ‘Mukbang’ in Thailand

BLACKPINK’s first reality show, ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’, is maintaining its high popularity in YouTube and Naver VLIVE.

According to YG Entertainment on January 21, the first episode of ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ that premiered on January 6 that surpassed 10 million views in 5 days, have accumulated over 20 million views on January 21 at 6 AM.

The 3rd episode of ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ which aired through YouTube and Naver VLIVE on January 20 also proved the show’s popularity by collecting 2 million views right after its release. Also, the show was ranked high in VLIVE’s ‘Most Watched Video’.

The 3rd episode displayed BLACKPINK’s travelogue in Thailand.

BLACKPINK began their vacation in Thailand with a local food ‘mukbang’, including ‘Tom Yang Koom’ and lamb ribs. During a short interval, LISA gave out a Thai language class. She taught the members that ‘hungry’ is expressed as ‘how’, and the members displayed unexpected ‘aegyos’ while trying to pronounce the newly learned word.

During shopping, BLACKPINK’s fresh girl-like sensibilities caught the attention of viewers. Upon their arrival at the flea market that not only had vintage items but also luxurious clothing, the members chose items such as hats and bags that will look great on other members. They also displayed their ‘beagle-like beauty’ while trying to perform a busking.

At the end of the episode, two unidentified people made a surprise attack in BLACKPINK’s accommodation, raising curiosity of the viewers on the next episode.

‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ was created with a concept in which members of BLACKPINK, who worked tirelessly since debut get to spend a 100-day vacation at a newly prepared house. The daily lives of BLACKPINK, previously covered with ‘mysticism’, will be revealed to the public through the show.

‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ pre-releases every Saturday at 9 PM through YouTube and VLIVE, while the full version airs every Sunday at 10 AM through JTBC2.
