[YG-LIFE] 180424 YG YANG HYUN SUK “BLACKPINK, Countdown on Making Comeback, Will Take Over Until the End of This Year”

YG Entertainment’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK raised expectations on BLACKPINK’s upcoming comeback.

On April 24, YANG HYUN SUK wrote “#BLACKPINK #THANKYOU #THAILAND #COMEBACK_COUNTDOWN #Comeback_Imminent#BLACKPINK_Will_Take_Over_Until_The_End_of_This_Year #YG” on his social media.

Along with the captions, he uploaded a video of BLACKPINK visiting Thailand. The local fans were cheering for BLACKPINK when the group arrived at the airport.

The endless line by the crowd surrounding BLACKPINK surprised the viewers. It made people realize BLACKPINK’s global popularity, once again.

BLACKPINK has recently finished recording their new album, and are now getting ready to make comeback in the K-Pop scene. Meanwhile, the group is continuing to set milestones in the process.

On April 9, BLACKPINK surpassed 300 million views with the MV for ‘BOOMBAYAH’, which became the first debut song to surpass 300 million views. ‘BOOMBAYAH’ has the highest view count among all debut songs released in K-Pop history.


Also, all 5 music videos released since BLACKPINK’s debut including ‘WHISTLE’, ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, and ‘STAY’ surpassed 100 million views.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK was ranked at no. 1 in US Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Chart’ for the first time as a rookie girl group. People are already looking forward to BLACKPINK’s new album as the group continues to hold records and set milestones.
