BLACKPINK has caught the attention of the international entertainment industry!
According to OSEN’s report on June 22, many U.S. networks and music producers have their eyes on BLACKPINK.
A source from the industry said, “The offers to BLACKPINK from U.S. networks and music producers reflect the response of the locals, so it can be interpreted that there is a quite a lot of interest from the local public.”
In response, a source from YG Entertainment stated, “It’s true that there are offers from many places [including the United States]. It’s not yet at a stage to say anything officially.”
BLACKPINK made a comeback with their first mini album “Square Up” on June 15, and their results have shown that they’ve solidified themselves as one of K-pop’s most popular groups. BLACKPINK’s MV for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” gained the highest number of views in the first 24 hours among K-pop girl groups, and has gone on to break records for K-pop girl groups as it reached the milestones of 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million, 70 million, and 80 million views. It has also been a hit within Korea, achieving perfect all-kills on the charts.
