The Korean Business Research Institute revealed their September 2018 brand reputation rankings for idol groups. Their findings are based on 178,241,082 pieces of data of 100 idol groups collected from August 27 to September 28 of 2018.
The data measures various indexes including participation (brands the celebrity has participated in or product consumption), media (media marketing worth), communication (ability to communicate with public) , and community (community’s perception of them/social marketing worth) to determine their brand reputation.
BLACKPINK took the 3rd place just below popular boy groups BTS and Wanna One who are No.1 and No.2, respectively. The girl group got a combined brand reputation score of 9,957,919, an increase of 62.22% from their May score.
Taking a closer look at the analysis, BLACKPINK has 460,328 points on the Participation Index category while having 981,297 points on the Media Index category. On the Communication Index category, the group got 5,192,003 while getting 324,291 points for Community Perception Index.
BLACKPINK rose 2 spots from previous survey which is from May.
