The Korean Business Research Institute revealed a new comprehensive list of October 2018 brand reputation rankings for Korean celebrities. Their findings are based on 100,896,208 pieces of data collected from September 11 to October 12 of 2018.
The data measures various indexes including participation (brands the celebrity has participated in or product consumption), media (media marketing worth), communication (ability to communicate with public) , and community (community’s perception of them/social marketing worth) to determine their brand reputation.
BLACKPINK takes 1st place with a combined brand reputation score of 10,283,856. High-ranking phrases in BLACKPINK’s keyword analysis included “Jennie,” “concert,” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” while the group’s highest-ranking related terms included “pretty,” cute,” and “sexy.” Their positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 77.6 percent positive reactions.
Taking a closer look at the analysis, BLACKPINK has 357,000 points on the Participation Index category while having 4,409,064 points on the Media Index category. On the Communication Index category, the group got 2,273,821 while getting 3,243,971 points for Community Perception Index. BLACKPINK notably topped 3 categories in the survey despite not putting out new music since for 4 months now.
BLACKPINK has previously topped the girl group rankings in July and August 2018. Congrats to the girls!
