[NEWS] BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ Enters Charts as No. 1 For the First Time Among All Girl Groups in 2 Years, All-Time No. 1 Girl Group in Number of Users

BLACKPINK dominated no. 1 spots on music charts as soon as their song was released.

On June 26 at 6 PM, BLACKPINK released ‘How You Like That’ on global music platforms. It is their new release in 1 year and 2 months, as well as their pre-release title song of their first-ever official album upcoming in September.

The song ‘How You Like That’ received heated responses as soon as the teaser was released, and entered Melon, the biggest music platform in Korea, as no. 1. It has been 2 years since a girl group has entered the chart as no. 1, while the group also put the people in awe by gathering over 100 thousand users in 1 hour. It is the biggest record in K-Pop girl group history. The song also entered Genie and Bugs as no. 1, proving their status as a top class girl group.

‘How You Like That’ is a Hip-hop track with BLACKPINK’s unique characteristics and charisma. The grand sounds dominate the intro of the song while BLACKPINK’s variety of vocals and the explosive drop grab the listeners’ ears.

Furthermore, the powerful beat being escalated throughout the song contains BLACKPINK’s message of ‘moving forward and up despite any dark situations’.

The MV for the song also has a massive scale and is racking up views in a fast pace. BLACKPINK has already begun setting milestones in K-Pop history as the ‘new record generators’.

BLACKPINK will present their comeback performance through NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on the 26th(local time). They will have their first music broadcast appearance on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 28th.
