On December 27 at approximately 4:40 p.m. KST, their music video for “BOOMBAYAH” surpassed 450 million views. This is about two years, four months, and 19 days since the release on August 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. KST.
BLACKPINK reached 400 million YouTube views on their MV for ‘BOOMBAYAH’. It’s the first debut track to surpass 400 million views in K-Pop history, while the new record allowed BLACKPINK to become the first K-Pop group to surpass 400 million views on 3 MVs.
BLACKPINK will release a new Japanese physical album titled「BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA」which will be available on December 5, 2018! Album will include all 9 Japanese versions of BLACKPINK’s hit songs since debut. The DVD will also include performance clips from BLACKPINK ARENA TOUR 2018 in Chiba which was held last August 26th.

After WHISTLE, BLACKPINK was supposed to sing STAY but had to calm down the crowd first because there were so much pushing. They didn’t introduce themselves until after STAY ended. They also initiated the students to sing/chant their school hymm/theme. There was technical problem near the end of BOOMBAYAH so BLACKPINK had to sing with an accompaniment during the outro. After the encore stage, BLACKPINK took commemorative photos with the audience which were eventually uploaded onto their Instagram account.

As of April 9, 1 AM, the video for ‘BOOMBAYAH’ surpassed 300 million views. The song was released back in August 8, 2016. To celebrate BLACKPINK’s new record, YG Entertainment revealed a special celebration poster through their official blog on April 9, at 8 AM.
