This is a preview of YG’s upcoming sitcom ‘YG Strategy Center’ headed by ‘God of Music’ PD Park Joon Soo. Setting is at YG building showing how the artists work or what they do. Filming is on September and is planning to be aired on November 2017. Broadcast schedule (time & date) as well as & network/channel where it will be aired are still undecided. It’s also reported that most if not all the ‘singers/musicians’ will participate in this sitcom.

YG Entertainment CEO YANG HYUN SUK uploaded a meaningful post on his SNS page.
On June 27, YANG HYUN SUK posted a screenshot of a fan’s message on his Instagram page. The fan messaged that BLACKPINK should go on JTBC’s Knowing Bros, and YANG HYUN SUK replied by posting “I’m trying really hard. First time asking a favor in 17 years.”
Usually, YANG HYUN SUK doesn’t do work related to YG musician’s TV show appearances. However, it seems as if YANG HYUN SUK has actually stepped in this time to help BLACKPINK go on Knowing Bros.
Although BLACKPINK’s debut was less than a year ago, the music video of the group’s new song “As If It’s Your Last” hit 37.47 million views in just 107 hours after its release. The music video posted 10 million views in 17 hours and 20 million in 47 hours. BLACKPINK has set a new record of surpassing the 30 million mark in the shortest time among K-pop groups.
Upon comeback, BLACKPINK’s new song swept Korea’s real-time, daily and weekly charts and became No.1 on the New Songs Chart of QQ Music, China’s largest music steaming platform that has 40 billion monthly subscribers. BLACKPINK is also setting new records: it became the first K-pop group to have a single topping the iTunes chart in 18 countries and chosen as US Apple Music’s Best of the Week.
BLACKPINK put on its comeback stage on MBC’s Music Core on June 24. The group will be going on a number of music and variety shows and radio programs to promote their new song.
YG Entertainment is set to produce multiple audition programs. The company is preparing for not only a survival audition show for YG trainees, but also a collaboration program with other music labels. YG’s ambition is to create a program that can create big hit not only in Korea but also overseas.

A picture of BLACKPINK’s new music video shooting was revealed.
YANG HYUN SUK posted the picture on his Instagram page and hashtagged it with #BLACKPINK #NEWMV #nowshooting #YG. The picture features a monitor screen showing a scene of the music video of BLACKPINK’s new song. In the scene, JENNIE is doing a dance move with both her arms held up high.
BLACKPINK debuted in August last year and became a major YG rookie with a series of hit songs. The girl group will debut in Japan on July 20.
Meanwhile, YG’s plan is to have BLACKPINK come back in mid-June.
BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ revealed a video of her doing a cover of WINNER’s “REALLY REALLY”.
BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ and YG Entertainment head YANG HYUN SUK posted a video of ROSÉ doing a guitar cover of WINNER’s “REALLY REALLY” on their Instagram page on May 14. The hashtag “fabulous voice tone” well describes ROSÉ’s performance in the video.
The video is a little blurry as if it was recorded by a cellphone, but viewers can easily notice ROSÉ’s cute smile and clear voice. ROSÉ works her lovely charm and interprets “REALLY REALLY” in her own unique way, and it really is a wonderful surprise present for the fans.

YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group, BLACKPINK, shared about the label’s dating ban.
Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie were asked about YG’s rules on dating during a recent interview. In response, the girls revealed that Yang Hyun Suk frequently talks to them about boys. Jennie explained, “Since the first day I entered YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk sajangnim told me to always be careful of boys. I think dating bans will always exist during our time under the label.”
Jisoo also shared, “The first time I met Yang Hyun Suk sajangnim, he asked me, ‘Do you happen to have a boyfriend right now?’ At the time, I was wearing a ring, and he even asked what that ring was. I didn’t have a boyfriend and It was just a ring.”
